Playing
- You need a signed-in account to play. Your progress saves to that account.
- Standard modes are 501, straight in, double out. You throw first in leg one. The starting player alternates each leg after that.
- BO1, BO3, BO5 and BO7 mean best of 1, 3, 5 and 7 legs: first to 1, 2, 3 or 4 legs wins.
- Enter your three-dart score. Standard checkouts finish the leg immediately, with three darts recorded for the visit. Standard-mode busts score zero for that visit.
- Green tick = a win. Each flawless challenge (no legs lost) earns one gold star. Flawlessly completed ladder modes are locked and cannot be replayed. Complete all five formats to complete a level.
- Select a format pill, then use the results icon underneath to see players and their best scores. The leaderboard shows your collected gold stars.
Your attempts
Each ladder game start or Restart counts as one attempt for that bot and mode. Attempts are private: only you can see your count on the results screen and completion modal. Casual games do not count. Tracking starts with this update; earlier attempts were not recorded.
Gold stars
- Earn one gold star for each unique flawless challenge: win without losing a leg (1–0, 2–0, 3–0 or 4–0).
- You can upgrade a previous green-tick win by beating that challenge flawlessly. Once flawless, that ladder mode is complete and its play button is disabled.
- There are 50 stars to collect: five formats across ten bots. BO1 and Bull or Bust wins are automatically flawless.
- Your total appears above the game and on the leaderboard. Stars are not spent when unlocking bots.
- Required totals: Venton 5, Istan 9, Nick 13, Ricky 17, Aussie 21, Andre 25, Bailey 29 and Filip 33. You must also meet that bot's other requirements.
- Bot cards stay their normal colour until all five modes are beaten, then turn green. All five flawless wins turn the card gold.
Bull or Bust
- Press Play Bull or Bust to see a short rules screen, then Confirm and play to start.
- Unlock by beating BO1, BO3, BO5 and BO7 on this bot first. A single-leg match: 301 on every level. You must finish on the Bullseye (50).
- If your score falls below 50 without a Bull checkout, you bust, or you score zero when on a finish, you lose immediately. This includes submitting a blank score. You cannot intentionally bust a checkout to return to a score of 50 or more: this is one-shot Bull or Bust — better luck next time!
- When checking out, you must click Bullseye on the checkout prompt. Any other finish loses, and the Bull finish must be possible in three darts.
- The bot plays normal double-out. A Bull or Bust win also earns a gold star because it is BO1.
Unlocking levels
- Only unlocked levels and the next locked level are shown. The next locked bot stays blurred until unlocked and lists every requirement, with completed requirements ticked until the bot unlocks.
- From Level 2: beat the previous bot in any two modes.
- From Level 3: also beat BO1, BO3, BO5 and BO7 on the bot two levels below.
- From Level 4: also beat all five formats on the bot three levels below.
- From Level 5: also beat all five formats flawlessly on the bot four levels below.
- Gold stars required: Venton 5, Istan 9, Nick 13, Ricky 17, Aussie 21, Andre 25, Bailey 29 and Filip 33. All requirements are cumulative. Bots aim for the midpoint of their displayed range (for example, Venton targets 47.5). Individual games still vary; there is no hard cap.
Casual games
- Unlock Level 3 to unlock the dice icon in the game menu. A separate milestone message explains this after you return to the ladder, following any new-bot announcement.
- Play any bot you have unlocked, including bots you have completed flawlessly in the ladder.
- Choose 301, 501 or 701, straight in and double out. Select an odd best-of length using the arrows: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 or more legs.
- Checkout prompts record darts used and attempts at double. Checkout stats and other match stats are shown at the end only.
- Nothing from a casual game is saved. Casual games do not award stars, complete challenges or change your leaderboard progress.
